[Get to Know: Alicia Minshew]

Alicia Minshew was born on May 28th in Plantation, Florida.
She is the third of four girls and remains very close to all of her sisters. She also has a very strong bond with her mother (Lenore, an aerobics instructor) and father (James, and Episcopal minister). Minshew was also greatly influenced by her maternal grandfather who was a performer in his youth and always encouraged and praised her efforts.
While acting has always been a passion of Minshew's for as long as she can remember, she began to do some serious work while still in high school in Stuart, Florida. After high school, she recieved a musical theatre scholarship to Indian River College. Some of her credits there include: "Grease," "Kiss Me Kate," and "Nunsense."
Alicia also pursued modeling and attended many acting classes once she relocated to New York City.
In 2002, Minshew landed her role of Kendall Hart on All My Children after previous auditions for the show ended without a role.
