COMA
Woes |
Alicia
Minshew is such a pro that you probably couldn't tell, but
when AMC's Kendall first fell into her coma, the actress
was a little under the weather herself. "Thank God
that Kendall is not doing so well these days," she
jokes. "It's so ironic that Kendall is going through
this crisis and I sort of am, too." After food poisioning
put Minshew out of commission, she did something she hadn't
done in her entire time at the soap:call in sick. "In
all my four and a half years, I've never missed one day
of work," she says. "It felt weird knowing I had
to work but not being able to go in." When she did
make it back to the studio, Minshew found Mrs. Slater's
bed rest was just what the doctor ordered. She says thankfully,
"I got to just lie in teh hospital bed and breathe." |

Alicia
Minshew's boyfriend of two years, Richie Herschenfeld, owns
Lucky's Famous Burgers and as you can see from the photos,
she enjoys every minute. To read the entire article about
Alicia's maternal feelings, her thoughts on Ryan and Zach

Who's
that Curl? |
Publicists
spend years trying to get thier up-and-comers into the
most hallowed of Big Apple gossip spots: The New York
Post's Page Six. But AMC's Alicia
Minshew garnered a mention in the big-city tabloid long
before she landed the role of Erica's daughter. At the
time, Felicity was a big hit and people so often mistook
Minshew for the drama's lead, Keri Russel, that the paper
wrote about it. "I was the hostess at China Grill,
and it was when my hair was big and kinky like hers was,"
Minshew says. "I used to have people, especially
little girls say, 'Are you Felicity?' And I was thinking,
I wish I had her paycheck!" Not too long after, Minshew
joined AMC quit the restaurant, "It was fun,"
she says of her early brush with notoriety. "It was
sort of my whole beginning-of-New York thing."
