All About Alicia Newsletter(December)

-Another Year Gone By-

This time of year is a time to enjoy, reflect, and plan. Think about the good, bad and ugly and reflect on those you love the most.

Soaps are facing a new year and with that brings change. We have our own dreams of the future, and we certainly have hopes for our Soaps. Storylines, heart, characters, couples and dramas are all at the top of our thoughts when we tune in everday, but just where should AMC go? It's time to give TPTB a New Year's resolution and at the top of the list should be:

#1:Bring back the heart of AMC

Familes and history were once such a great joy on AMC. Along with powerful stories, AMC's strong families were

the very essence of the show. Today, we are lucky to see those strong families that are dwindling far into very distant memories instead of front and center stories.

The Santos, Martin, Cortlandt, and Frye families once had the persona we longed for and really celebrated together. Today it's almost like the writers forgot this truth as we see characters fading and forgetting. The Chandlers and Kanes are not the only family in PV and TPTB need to hold true to the essence of AMC before it fades like PV's family life.

-Tis the Season for X-Mas Miracles-

Father Clarence has been the light for a couple of Christmases, especially for Kendall andBianca. But this year his blessings will be focused elsewhere. For once Kendall and Bianca may be headed for a happy holiday, but Tad and Dixie need a little help in that area. Will Father Clarence be able to bring the "classic" Christmas Miracle to these two in need? And what about the rest of the tortured souls of PV?

Jack and Erica have certainly suffered a lot in the last few months. Can they put aside their stubborn ways and reconnect for their family? Can Erica's 10th marriage really end so soon? Jack is the love of her life...or is it really hubby #1 who owns her heart?

Can Zach, Kendall, and Spike really live happily ever after as a family for once? Zach has another mysterious past that is vastly approaching his present. But perhaps the Slaters can bask in the glow of a happy holiday for once and realize the true meaning without too much destruction.

Tad needs the biggest help of all and it's a great thing he has a helping hand. Kate may be very close and wouldn't it just be the best Christmas present? His faith and happiness maybe restored before the year is up...just what he deserves.

Many think this couple is beyond repair and with very good reason. They never seem to get it right and always find horror within themselves. Perhaps Babe and JR will find that Christmas will bring them the strength they need to be a family and for the sake of Little A at least.

All About Alicia: Holiday Wishes

All About Alicia would like to wish all the fans, supporters, and everyone else a very warm holiday wish:

Keep it safe this holiday season, and take special care when it's cold and freezing.

Give someone close a memory that will last. Reminisce of your favorite holidays past.

When you gather around your holiday roast, give thanks to those who need it most.

It's a special year for Alicia because she has nailed quite a few accomplishments in just 365 days. Below is a list of what she has done and her newest addition is her recent work on co-producing a movie! Way to go! You can view a trailer here.

Let's hope she has a great 2007 as well and we appreciate the hard-driven work she does!

-Meet Zarf-

He may be the misunderstood outsider/rock star, but Zarf's underlying layers make this newest character on AMC a most intriguing "guy".

You may disagree because lets face it we live in a world consumed by judgement and stereo-typing, but give the following review a chance. Zarf may open your eyes both on and off screen.

First Impressions Are Key

I can't say that the news of a controversial character was a shock, but worries sure did flood my mind when I heard it. Mostly my greatest fears, and I'm sure some of you had the same, were that the writers would not do the character or story justice in a meager attempt to boost ratings. It seems, that this happens a lot in a world so consumed with money woes and hopeless efforts to bring a dwindling audience back.

However, when Zarf came back, I was intrigued. I was at first impressed with his charisma, views on life, and most of all the fact that this was something very new. Sure he was edgy, wierd, and overwhelming, but for once AMC was heading in a new direction that would prove that wierdness exists on base level, but the real character has layers that create this harsh and wierd guy. Jeffery Carlson is taking a big leap in portraying such a controversial character, but his efforts are applaudable.
