It's not easy being pregnant in real life, so when Alicia Minshew took on the role the first time when she was protecting sister Bianca during the Cambias trial, she had to deal with some very new things.

What did you think when you learned that Kendall was going to pretend to be pregnant?
I loved it because I thought it would show how far Kendall's willing to go for Bianca. She was willing to put aside her skinny body and what people would think about her, and carry this huge lie around.I also thought that it was such an interesting thing for me to play, because I've never worn a pregnancy pad. Wearing it has given me an appreciation for pregnant women.

Tell us about your experience of getting fitted for your fake pregnancy pad.

The first time we put something on, it didn't even look like I was pregnant, so they really had to accentuate the shape of it more. My body is very narrow, and I needed something that bowed out a bit more.

The first time I tried it on, it just looked like I was a little thick around the middle; it didn't really have the bump yet.

But once we put the right one on, I stared at myself for awhile in the mirror and I was like, "So this is what I would look like pregnant. Wow!"

Has playing a pregnant women made you think about being a mother in your personal life?
When I'm wearing the pad, i touch it all the time. Even when I'm not acting, I'll walk around the hallways with it. It's wierd. I feel slight maternal instincts when I'm in it. But when it's off... I'm just so far from having kids, it's not even funny. That's not to say that I don't want any, but it's just not on my list of things to do anytime soon.

Kendall a mommy?

This time around Kendall is really going to have the little Lavery boy. Will she decide to raise him and give him all she didn't? Or will she follow in mommy Erica's path and send him to a more loving and able family?

With Kendall's continous issues, and problems with family, one wonders just how much of a mother she can really be. However, she is changing, and Ryan is also in the same boat. He too has major family issues, and is always working through them. Will this help them, because they are aware of these issues, or only make it worse?

Only time will tell if Kendall has learned from past mistakes with her family, or if she will be just like them. The same for Ryan as well. Will this couple make a happy family for their son, or is someone else better suited for the job?

Friends Forever

I worked with Rebecca for three years, pretty much nonstop.

When AMC's Kendall talks about how much she misses best bud Greenlee, there's a bit of life imitating art going on. Minshew is close friends with Rebecca Budig, who left the show in November. "I equate her being on the show," Minshew says sadly. " I can't imagine being on AMC without her. It's weird to me." Though Greenlee and Kendall didn't part on the best of terms, the women who play the Pine Valley frenenimes remain close. "We played off of each other, made fun of each other, kind of like what you see is really how we are," she says, adding that she's happy Budig is taking time for herself. "I know that I'm going to see her. I know that she's always going to be in my life, and that's cool."

Celebrate April with the strong legacy of the Kane women.

The Mardi Gras Ball was magnificent with its pastel colors and the event was especially brilliant with the costumes. AMC's costume designer David R. Zyla turned Mardi Gras into an elegant and high glamour ball. Here's what he did for Kendall's dress as shown in ABC's Soaps In Depth:

Kendall's preganancy gave Zyla's team a challenge that he thinks worked in their favor. "Kendall is such a high-fashion character, to put her in a trapeze evening dress, it just wouldn't do," he says. "So what we decided to do was to showcase her belly." The designers created a gown that looks like several beaded scarves draped abou the body and pinned with brooches. "It is a stunning dress if I do say so myself," he chuckles. "And she wears it so well.

Ryan and Kendall Bond

With a baby on the way, are Ryan and Kendall starting to realize just what must be done to bring joy to this baby's life? Putting aside past problems and reflecting on when they were together is slowly starting to bring this couple back together and this time for the sake of someone else instead of themselves. A slow bond is starting to form for this soon to be family and it shows us that it isn't easy to be a parent, especially with past battles and being forced to take on the responsibility without being prepared.

Dixie's Return: My two cents

I have been a fan of AMC for nearly 10 years now. I remember the classic characters that have slowly left over those years. Hayley and Mateo, Adam and Liza, and most of all Tad and Dixie. The relationships were always rocky, but the ones that seemed to always make it back no matter what is what we all hoped for everyday we tuned in to see the progress of our fan fav's. I always loved how once Dixie left Tad always remembered her and thought of her in tough times. People don't easily forget, and that remained true with Tad and Dixie.
